Repeat Prescriptions

To use the prescription online service please first register with the practice by telephoning 01733 312731 or calling into reception. Please note that your new account will take up to one hour to activate once you receive your password.

Alternatively you may leave your request for a repeat prescription at reception or post it to the surgery. Tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. Your prescription will be ready for collection 48 hours later.

If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope). Prescriptions will not be handed to children under 12 years of age.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.

Please note if you order medication not listed on your repeat prescription list this could take up to five working days.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
